FAQ

HOW DO YOU HOME-DELIVER MEAT?

It may sound complicated, but with a well-thought-out logistical system, home deliveries are perfectly possible. We’ve opted to vacuum-seal each individual piece of meat, the way we sometimes do in our stores along the coast. This ensures the meat stays fresh for longer. When kept cool, vacuum-sealed meat can easily be stored for seven to ten days.
We’ve also developed a special transport system. Each order is carefully packaged in a polystyrene container, wedged between layers of icepacks. We seal the polystyrene container, then place it in a cardboard box for shipping. Both boxes remain tightly sealed until they reach their final destination. Thanks to the consistently positive results of the extensive tests we carried out, our delivery system has been fully approved by the FASFC (Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain).

HOW MUCH DOES DELIVERY COST?

Delivery is free on orders over €150!
For orders below €150, we charge a fee of €11.

HOW WILL I BE KEPT UP TO DATE AFTER PLACING MY ORDER?

Immediately after you have placed an order, you will get an automatic confirmation e-mail. The day before delivery, you will be sent an e-mail reminder by our courier, Dynalogic. Dynalogic will text you on the morning of the delivery day itself. You’ll get a second text half an hour before delivery. That way, everyone can rest assured the package will be delivered safely.

DO YOU OFFER A SECOND DELIVERY RUN?

The quality of our deliveries is a top priority for us, so we only offer one delivery run per order. Our logistics system is designed to guarantee that our meat will reach you within a certain timeframe and in perfect condition. Any meat you order is freshly cut, packaged and transported just for you. Having to organise a second delivery run would make it impossible for us to guarantee the same quality. So please choose your preferred delivery time carefully. To offer a certain amount of flexibility, you can add an alternative address in the checkout stage of your online purchase. Simply fill in your neighbour’s address and let them know you are expecting a delivery. This will help to make delivery possible even if you don’t hear the doorbell or happen to be out.

WHERE ARE THE ALLERGENS LISTED?

We have compiled a list of allergens, which you can access here. If a product you are interested in is not listed, please feel free to contact us. Call +32 (0)58/60 40 00 or e-mail webshop@dierendonck.be.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STORE THE MEAT I HAVE ORDERED?

Even when vacuum-sealed, meat should be kept cool. Always store your meat in the fridge. Before preparing the meat to eat, take it out of the fridge and remove the packaging. Leave it to rest for about 15 minutes before frying or grilling it.
